Dear SSHC Member:

Enclosed are the final corrections to the 2011 SSHC Year End Points. It was a great season and we thank all of our participants and spectators.

Also enclosed is the Year End Champion Awards Selections. All CHAMPIONS may select awards from this list. Please be sure to clearly designate personalization in the case of the Personalized Stall Sign and include picture for the canvas photo. This form MUST be returned to Alex Peak within 10 days of this mailing. If not selected and returned to Alex Peak by December 14th, a prize will be chosen for you.

Your banquet invitation and meal selection form are also enclosed. Please note that the date of the banquet is Saturday, Febuary 4, 2012. Your ticket request and meal selection must be returned with your payment by January 10, 2012. If you have a preference in your seating please note it on the form and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Those who have joined us in the past have enjoyed the silent auction. We are looking for donations. Please contact Jennifer Sullivan (jenn.sullivan382@gmail.com; 781-545-8945) for more information or if you have something to donate.

The final enclosure is your opportunity to thank those that made your show season special or a chance to advertise your business. This form should be completed with payment and returned to Lynda St. Andre by December 23, 2011 to allow time to be included in the banquet program.

It's never too early to plan your ad for the 2012 show season class list You will be eligible for a 10% advertising discount if you place ads in BOTH the banquet and 2012 show programs.
Also, please note that we are excited to announce the return of the SSHC Scholarship program. Please see the rules and forms attached for more information.

SSHC offers a
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM!!

South Shore Horsemen's Council will offer one scholarship annually if criteria are met.

  • Must be a active junior or senior member of South Shore Horsemen's Council in good standing for the past two (2) years
  • Applicant must be a senior in high school accepted to a college( or) have graduated from high school and be currently attending college.
  • Application due by January 1, and to be announced at the following annual year end banquet
  • An official transcript from high school or college from last semester (with at least 2.9 GPA)
  • Provide a letter(s) of recommendation(s) from a teacher, employer, coach, clergy, etc. NOT family or friend
  • One page resume, double spaced detailing your activities with SSHC and your activity with your community. Also include any awards received academic or other achievement awards.
  • Must have competed in one (1) or more of SSHC horse shows.
  • Scholarship will be awarded after one completed semester and an official current transcript from the college (with at least a 2.9 GPA) is forwarded to the scholarship committee.
  • Applicant must submit a color or black/white photograph head shot with application.
