2011 SSHC and MHC Classics
Award & Ten Ribbons Awarded For Each Classic (Must have 4 to run class.)

Ring I & Ring II Classics are double judged.
Held the 1st class after lunch in Ring I.
Classic Points to be awarded ONLY IF the exhibitor selects the division to which the points should be applied.
Points will be forfeited if not disclosed by the end of that show.
EXCLUDED- Classic points may not be included in the Year End point totals in Jr. Exhibitor’s Hack #s 20, 24 or Road Hack #s 40, 45. Color Breed may only apply points from one Classic to the Color Breed Year End Points
605. Saddleseat Pleasure Classic: MAY
Open to all breeds and all age riders. To be ridden in Saddleseat equipment. Points may only be applied to a pleasure class that the horse was ridden Saddleseat. Points may only be applied to a class in which the same horse and rider combination compete under the same equipment used in the classic.
603. Hunter Under Saddle Pleasure Classic: JUNE
Open to all breeds, all age riders. To be ridden in Hunt Seat equipment. Points may only be applied to a class in which the same horse and rider combination compete under the same equip¬equipment used in the classic. Points may only be applied to a pleasure class held in Ring I or Ring II.
601. Western Pleasure Classic: AUGUST
Open to all breeds and all age riders. To be ridden in Western equipment. Points may only be applied to a pleasure class in which the same horse and rider combination compete under the same equipment used in the classic.
The above classics are qualifiers for The MHC Pleasure Horse Show and Classic Finals to be held Sunday,
September 18, 2011 at Bob-Lyn Stable in Amesbury, MA. Any rider can qualify by placing from 1st to 8th place. Riders need not be members of MHC to ride in the classics.

702. 2'3" Hunter Classic: May
No restrictions on horse or rider. Each rider will jump over a course of approximately eight fences at 2'3". To be judged on performance and soundness. A two Round Open Numerical Scoring system will apply. For the Second Round, top 10 riders from the first round to return in Reverse order of scores from Round 1. The Second Round may include elements of a “Handy Hunter” Round i.e. halt, a trot jump, or a roll back (shorter turn) as an option. Both are courses to be posted at least one hour before class starts. Classic Points may only be applied to the Children’s/Adult Special Hunter or Modified Adult Hunter or SSHC Hunter Division
705. Short Stirrup Hunter Fences Classic: JUNE
Riders must be eligible for Short Stirrup Hunter. Course will be 18” in height- cross rails or verticals. A two Round Open Numerical Scoring system will apply. The Short Stirrup Hunter Stake class scores will count as the First Round of the Classic. For the Second Round, top 10 riders from the first round to return in Reverse order of scores from Round 1. The Second Round may be a Handy Hunter Round and may include a halt or a trot jump. Both courses are to be posted at least one hour before class starts. The Classic Points to be awarded to Short Stirrup Hunter Division ONLY.
701. Hunter Pleasure Classic: AUGUST
Open to horses and ponies of all breeds used for pleasure purposes, to be ridden in hunt seat equipment.
Classic Points may only be applied to Hunter Type Pet Pony (pony) or Hunter Pleasure (horses).
